Report back if the Sent folder is not showing in subscribe list. then select all the folders and click on Subscribe. 'Not responding' is to be expected if the data files are locked by an external program. Other apps on my computer were usable, just not Thunderbird. UPDATE: it took about 10 hours to do, as mentioned it wouldn't let me OK the UNticking of folders until it had downloaded everything.
